September is Animal Pain Awareness month!
This month we will be focusing on ARTHRITIS in both dogs and cats. Osteoarthritis is very common and can interfere with daily activities, impacting quality of life
Common signs of arthritis is pets include the following:
Difficulty getting up
Stiffness when walking
Trembling when standing or walking
Reluctance to go up and/or down stairs
Bunny hopping with back legs when using stairs
Difficulty jumping on/off couches
Less interest in playing and going for walks
Unexpected aggression towards other dogs or towards humans
Reluctance to be touched on certain parts of the body
